In the wake of her upcoming reality show ‘Lock Upp: Badass Jail Atyaachari Khel,’ a promotional video has been surfacing on the internet where two masked-up men kidnapped Ekta Kapoor. The video which was filmed outside Balaji studio where paparazzi were capturing her, went viral in no time. The video is part of her OTT show, which will be hosted by none other than ‘bold and outspoken’ Kangana Ranaunt. In a video shared on a paparazzo’s Instagram Ekta is seen smiling and posing for the photographers outside the studio. While she was going back, suddenly two masked men showed up and put her at gunpoint. While she was screaming for help, kidnappers can be heard shouting, ‘chal andar baith’. The kidnappers also asked the shutterbugs to close their cameras. Like a typical filmy scene, the whole video was shot leaving fans shocked.
However, as soon as the video was shared on social media by the paparazzo, fans took to the comments section and in no time they find out that the video is a promotional stunt for the show, Lock Upp.
The upcoming reality show has been making headlines ever since its announcement. Be it for the fierce host Kangana Ranaut or for the contestants who will be locked up in Kangana’s jail, the show is grabbing headlines for multiple reasons. Amid all the curiosity about the participants, Television actress Nisha Rawal has been confirmed as the first contestant. Stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui has been announced as the second confirmed contestant. The makers have released promos for the same.
Talking about the format of the show, 16 celebrity contestants will be locked up in a jail where they will fight against each other to get the basic amenities required to survive in Kangana’s Jail.
Lock Upp will premiere on February 27 on ALTBalaji and MXPlayer.
